2009 Wick Bocce Ball Tournament
On June 13, more than 60 residents and staff from PWHO attended the Wick Bocce Ball Tournament in Milwaukee. Excitement filled the air as the tournament got under way. The blue sky was the perfect backdrop as the residents played their first round of games. Although few of the PWHO teams won in the first round, they were able to relax beneath the canopies, take walks and enjoy one another's company while eating a picnic lunch. After lunch, it was time for the second round of games. Once again, few of the teams won, but everyone left knowing that they had played fair and did their best. In anticipation of the District Competition July 18, many are excited about another opportunity to display their improved skill and knowledge of the game. As Coach Seth from Hanson House said, "With all of the hard work they've put in since the Wick Tournament, they are sure to do better..." With confidence and true ambition to improve, how could they not? Way to go PWHO Bocce Ball players and coaches!
